Mate, your life was taken so quickly, why didn't you talk to me?
You were there for me so many times as we grew up together, I could have helped.
You left behind your childhood sweetheart and young children, will you ever see your grand children?
There was so many things we could have laughed and joked about, I know you would have felt better.
Yes, maybe you were hurting but now there are even more people hurting, including my family too.

There were no secrets between us, you always rang to have a chat or say hi when you were back in town, I will miss those chats and the laughter too.
You were happy go lucky, what happened, many people ask why?
That is one answer we may never know.

Depression took your life, and I hope that someone else, some where, some time that knew you, will remember what happened to you because you did not talk, and they will take the opportunity to talk to someone, I hope that your death will not be in vain, but some how show others to slow down and seek help.

Rest in Peace my friend, hope to see you again.
