About Marco

Basically, after being born at a very young age, my biological mother decided that I would be better off with somebody else and so placed me on a step of someone's house and moved on. I was subsequently made a ward of the state and fostered out when I was 18 months old to a family that I lived with until I was 10 years of age.

As a child, I was normal enough except that I had TB (Tuberculosis) rather severely and required constant medical attention until I was 6 or 7. Somehow I pulled out of it and and put too rest all the grave fears for my life ceasing at such a young age. What I remember out of my childhood is that the pet cat belonged in the family more than I did and I was getting into more and more trouble and mischief, this made me feel more and more out of place. By the time I was ten, I had visited all usual government establishments and psyche's and had a small amount of notoriety with the blue coats (police) and people in our area.

Sadly, whilst in the care of the government, I was abused threefold by some carers and returned to my foster family in a worse sate than when I left. Unfortunately the hurt was starting to come to the surface and while at school one day I was protecting a girl the same age as myself when I nearly killed a 12 year old boy. Needless to say, my foster family wanted no more to do with me and gave me up. The amazing thing next to happen was that the courts exonerated me and ordered me to be re fostered with intensive psych care from the government.

Mark as a new Christian.

Fran his wife prayed faithfully for him for 15 years. Who said prayer doesn't work, it just takes a little persistence.

I was fostered again, to a family right across the road from my previous family and everyone pretended as if nothing happened and never thought to ask how I felt about it all. Needless to say I got more and more into trouble as time went on, I was again abused by trusted friends and neighbors and by the time I was twelve, I had bailed out of it all and lived on the streets of Sydney. It was my home now as it was a lot safer than where I had come from; From the streets I learnt how to survive properly and myself and my friends were very close knit, I first became a "Rocker" but also hung around a lot of "Sharpies" in town hall. As the years went by, I spent time in some of the harshest boys homes that were around and when I was 17 I was put into long bay jail.

My association with the "Bikie" culture came from my time on the streets and also through a family who genuinely took an interest in me initially when I had hit the streets. As I grew into manhood, I was living within the "old school ethics" taught to me by people from 3 or 4 different cultures who lived on the streets themselves. Incidentally, the people I have long regarded as my "family" are the French/Hungarian Immigrants who served with the Foreign Legion and immigrated to Australia in the 70's to start a new life for themselves away from active service.

By my late teens I was "nominated" for membership with an outlaw club but pulled the pin on it due to differences of opinion on how things should be done. I basically stayed on the streets but had close contacts and good references with everyone wherever I went, this even carried on over seas to some extent. At 22 I headed off to the states with my "family" and in our travels around Utah, I linked up with the 'Henchmen Motorcycle Club" from Salt Lake city. I came back to Australia with a full patch and the presidency under my belt.

Not long after arriving home, I ended up in prison for 3 years and over this time I established a club in Sydney from behind bars, I run the chapter from there and once released, moved into the clubhouse. We had a lot of trouble with the blue coats for the first 7 to 8 years but we were going pretty good until tragedy struck. We were infiltrated by two men who were police informants and who had also started causing trouble with other clubs around. At one stage I left the clubhouse and scouted around Sydney to try and find out what was going on with my "Family" and "Brotherhood" but the damage was done, I was arrested without bail and held in a cell for 72 days with no contact from the outside. It was then that I realized I was in big trouble and directed my efforts to getting bail from the supreme court.

Bail was granted on very strict conditions and I went straight to the task of setting up a new area and location for those involved in things. I ended up running amuck and with some serious charges against me. The trials came and went and in truth I have only spent 2 & 1/2 years out of the last 16 years, out of prison. I was released 2 years ago with a clean slate and everything dealt with, that was in 2001. Prior to this I was on the run about 6 or 7 years ago, when Roscoe helped me from the "Tribe of Judah", to my disgust but I was stuck up on stage by "others" as a trophy in front of the whole church which I disagreed with so I started to try and find my own feet again. I was re-arrested on the NSW / QLD border on a mates bike and my family were with me, and that was that until being released 2 years ago. I felt my turning to God through the church was made a joke of, although I was bitter at the time I still tried to maintain my faith in God as best as I knew how

Fran and Mark, Life was tough but Jesus was tougher! Fran believed for Mark's salvation for many years. How many years are you going to believe for something?

From behind bars I was nicknamed "Rev"as I was doing my diploma in Ministry with the AOG church, the only ones who would sponsor me for free as I was behind bars, everyone would come to me to talk to me or have me pray for them or just for the fellowship which I was running at the time with a few guys. Eventually I threw my Christian walk away and returned to my ethics I had learnt in my earlier years, until recently I saw the need that I had to give my life over to God properly and become a beacon for those who needed help.

If my life has helped you in any way even in its, "basic form" as it is, please feel free to contact me through Roscoe and Bikers 4 Christ and both of us will try to help to the best of our ability and resources.

Bless ya's all

Marcus.

(Extra from Roscoe) It was about the middle of April 2003 when Mark visited my home, we had been in contact prior to and during his jail term and also upon his release, when one day he asked me out the back yard, I thought I was going to get a flogging for something as I knew him well and was not sure what the problem was, Mark said to me " throughout the last 6 years out of all the so called "Christians" that have come across my path, you are the only one (other than his wife) who has stuck with me, helped my family and and supported me in many ways, I want to give you the honor of having you lead me to Jesus.

To say the least I was shocked, I had never bible bashed him, preached at him or anything just helped practically and been a friend. But his wife Fran faithfully prayed for him for years, and an honor it was to lead him to Jesus in prayer. As Mark is a late 70's Biker I understand his "code" and "Ethics", that helps a lot. all I can say is "ALL the glory and Honor goes to Jesus", because I really have done nothing. If you wish to contact Mark via e-mail I will pass it onto him.
