Out and About at the "Back to the Future Rally"

Gymkhana events are Roscoe's favourite on the Red XJ 900 and we get involved in as much as we can, some times there are some good prizes like a free meal or a trophy, I have only ever won 2 trophies in my life and my kids have broken both of them, this event is the slow race where you start off and race as slow as possible, without placing your feet on the ground, the last person to cross the line wins, it is an elimination process and I managed to get through the first 2 heats and then almost fell off all together trying to not put my feet down.

Roscoe on the XJ 900 again with Rod on the back, while circling with other bikes you pass a person who hands you a dart, you ride past a dart board approximately 30 or so feet away from you throw the dart and the highest scorer wins. Out of 3 attempts we hit the dart board once, not a bad effort, Roscoe thought Rod sitting sideways would be the advantage, all it did was almost pushed them over..

Sunday Morning comes around and we all gather together for our first church service at a rally, despite handing out almost 300 invites to the other riders and expecting no one other than ourselves we got 4 people come along. From where I was sitting on the left with Rod, I noticed that there may have only been 4 people came along but there were at least a dozen or so onlookers, especially since we had Christian Blues music blasting full blast and they were all wondering what we were up to, probably expecting something a little more sedate I suppose - NO WAY!

A church service without the word of God being shared is a waste of time, so we got our pocket Bibles out and had ourselves a good time, the church service is run in the way that the lead person will bring a word on a particular topic and everyone gets to share their thoughts and other scriptures as well and it works excellently, everyone learns from each other and that is what church is supposed to be about.
