Somerset Dam Round-up...

11 Bikes meet and head of to Samfoed Valley, through to Dayborough, Mt Mee, Woodford for lunch, Somerset Dam, through to Mt Glorious and Mt Nebo then back home. Only a 300 Klm Ride but well and truly worth it on any Saturday or Sunday, the roads are perfect with some good turns and some dangerous ones too.

The first days of the cooler weather after the heatwave of February 2004 in Brisbane and we travell through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Brisbane Lockyer Valley and mountain ranges with some great corners, sweepers and bends. CMA QLD joined with us and so did Remnants in Christ. Again a good time of fellowship with bike riders from various groups and backgrounds.

As many riders were coming from various parts of Brisbane and Logan we decided on meeting at McDonalds at Coorparoo for breakfast first and then head up the freeway to Samford.

A Variety of bikes were on the ride including this nice looking BMW Sports Tourer, many people visiting McDonalds were captured by just 11 bikes and some were able to witness to people while sitting there enjoying a Sausage or bacon Burger and coffee.

Stopping along the way many times to check out the scenery and to regroup as there were some touring bikes umongst us that had to take it easy through the mountains.

Deb checking out the comfort of the Red Gold Wing and thinking of how she could talk her spouse into buying one for her comfort. Actually at some time or another we were all checking it out, stereo, rider/pillion contact via headset, air conditioning, fridge, shower etc etc... just it had no Kitchen sink as usual.

The final stop of the day was at Mt Gorious Tea House and restuaraunt. From here many split off and went there merry way to wherever they lived. Another good day of fellowship, riding and relaxation taking in the beauty of God's creation.
