August 2005 we were donated from an organisation a heap of brand new items. I can not name the organisation, but the product prices amounted to the tens of thousands. We had a dilemma on our hands. What do we do with it? So we had a BBQ to figure out what to do.

It was decided a Gold Coast member who runs a women's refuge and a halfway house receives a third. Another third went to a Baptist man who goes to Africa each year taking with him a container load of gear and building refuges for the poor over there, the final third will stay with us helping victims of house fires and poverty etc.

So while deciding what or how to do this as well and letting members know, we also took the opportunity to have a BBQ. With heaps of food on the table and good company we all tucked in and had a great day of fellowship.

They all started lining up for their photo to be taken knowing that it usually ends up on the internet.

Phil from Esk west of Brisbane even gave us the pleasure of bringing his guitar and singing some good old country and western songs along with a little Van Morrisson and that really did cap the evening off. Thanks mate.
